Master of Business Administration

Engineers often become the primary managers of change within an industry. Having already obtained a technical degree, young engineers can quickly progress in their career it they thoroughly study the aspects of management.
Realizing this fact, VCE established the department of management studies in 2007 with an intake of 60 students.
Dr. N Damodar Reddy with 34 long years as teacher and researcher, heads the department. His standing as an eminent scholar is expressed by the fact that close to two dozen articles have appeared in journals of National and International repute. He is assisted in the department by equally able and eminent professors.
Two electives are being offered to prepare students to meet the market demands, in addition there will be two more electives – Management Information Systems and HR, which are much sought after by students.
Various activities like seminars, group discussions, debates, case studies and class room participation form part of the ambitious plans envisaged for these budding managers.

Master of Computer Applications

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a post-graduate programme approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The post graduate degree programme is started in the year 2006 with an intake of 60 to fulfill the requirements of fast growing IT industries and to equip Non-Technical graduates with best computer skills. The Students of MCA undergo a rigorous training spread over 6 semesters comprising of 25 instructional courses and 10 practical courses and a full time project work during 6th Semester.
The Department is headed by Prof. L V Narasimha Prasad who has a wide range of experience in industry, teaching and administration. The Department is well equipped with highly qualified and experienced faculty as well as state-of-the- art computer labs. The faculty is committed to academic excellence and maintaining inter-disciplinary approaches in its teaching methodology and research programs.
The Department organizes specialized academic activities to supplement the curriculum and to enhance the competitive edge of the students in facing the challenges of securing the best placement, and also the challenges of the workplace. Many of our students acquired higher position in leading software companies like TATA Consultancy Services, Infosys Technologies, Computer Sciences Corporation, Mahindra Satyam, Tech Mahindra, Syntel, Virtusa, L & T Infotech etc through campus selection process. The department's alumni include renowned academicians, IT professionals and trendsetting entrepreneurs.
The Department along with the co-departments Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology jointly organizes an annual function Interface to provide a platform for the students to showcase their talents.

Freshman Engineering

The goal of the Freshman Engineering Program is to provide each new engineering student with the resources needed to be successful during the first year on campus. As an engineering freshman at Vardhaman College of Engineering, you'll work toward completion of the courses included in the common freshman year and you'll acquire information that will help you to successfully complete with ease your selected branch of engineering.

Freshman Engineering Program is the entry point for all beginning engineering students. The core curriculum includes courses in math, chemistry, physics, computer programming, and communication skills, as well as introductory engineering coursework.

Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering is one of the broadest and oldest of the engineering disciplines, extending across many technical specialties. Civil Engineers plan, design, and supervise the construction of facilities essential to modern life like space satellites and launching facilities, offshore structures, bridges, buildings, tunnels, highways, transit systems, dams, airports, harbours, water supply system and wastewater treatment plants. A civil engineer is responsible for planning and designing a project, onstructing the project to the required scale, and maintenance of the project. A civil engineer requires not only a high standard of engineering knowledge but also supervisory and administrative skills.
The department of civil engineering was started in the year 2009 with a sanctioned intake of 60 students. Over the year it has grown into a full-fledged department offering undergraduate course in civil engineering with the revised sanctioned intake being ninety students.
The infrastructure available in the department facilitates students to develop their skill and knowledge within the framework of curriculum prescribed by the Vardhaman College of Engineering. The department has the following well-equipped laboratories/workshop:
1. Geotechnical Engineering
2. Basic Material Testing
3. Survey
4. Geology
5. Computer Aided Design
6. Concrete and Highway Material Testing
7. Structures
8. Environmental Engineering
9. Hydraulics and Hydraulic Machinery
The department library has over 400 books and copies of student project reports. A departmental computer centre with sufficient number of computer systems and Internet connections exists. Students of final year make use of this facility for their project works. The students and faculty have unlimited access to this centre.
The department invites eminent persons from industry to deliver technical talks on emerging areas for the benefit of our students and staff. The department has included eminent persons from academics and industry in the academic advisory council to shore up academic transfer of knowledge as well as consultancy.

Aeronautical Engineering

The Department was established in the year 2008, to achieve excellence in the field of Aeronautical Engineering. The Department is headed by Prof. B. Subba Ratnam who is having 20 years of teaching experience. The Department of Aeronautical Engineering has well qualified and dedicated faculty. The expertise in the Department comprises of experience gained through Academic institutions and reputed R & D Organizations.
The Department of Aeronautical Engineering primary aim is to promote engineering education and research. It strives consistently to provide quality education, keeping in pace with time and technology. It is to Passion to integrate the intellectual, spiritual, ethical and social development of the students for shaping them into dynamic Aeronautical Engineers.
The vision of the Department is to be an indispensable source in Aeronautical Engineering education which has the zeal to provide the value driven platform for the students to acquire knowledge and empower themselves to shoulder higher responsibility in the Aerospace Industry.
The department has sophisticated equipment supplementing the academic needs of the students. Some of the laboratories established in Aeronautical Engineering are:
01. Basic Engineering Workshop
02. Aircraft Engineering Drawing with CAD
03. Mechanics of Fluids
04. Mechanics of Solids
05. Aircraft Production and Materials
06. Aerodynamics and Propulsion
07. Aircraft Structures
08. Flight Vehicle Design
09. Computational Fluid Dynamics
10. Structural Analysis and Detailed Design
11. CAD/CAM and ANSYS

Mechanical Engineering)

There is a multitude of Mechanical Engineering advancements happening in the world's workshop, so with the standard of engineering consistently rising, mechanical engineering is creating ripples in the technology world.
The department is established in the year 2006 with an intake of 60 and the number is increased to 90 in 2009. The department is headed by Dr. G. V. Rao, Former INAE Distinguished Professor and Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Awardee.Mechanical Engineering is a fast growing discipline in tune with the demands in the areas of infrastructure and Manufacturing. The department has well equipped laboratories as per university norms with an emphasis on practical approach and skills. The department has well qualified and dedicated faculty.
Of the many engineering disciplines, mechanical engineering is the broadest, encompassing a wide variety of engineering fields and many specialties. Although it is commonly assumed that Mechanical Engineers are automotive engineers and Manufacturing Engineers in fact, Mechanical Engineers are employed in an enormous range of technical areas including: acoustics, air-conditioning, automatic controls, Engineering Design, computer-aided design, energy management, fluid dynamics, tribology, robotics, biomechanics, and turbo machinery, Nanotechnology and Mechatronics etc. Mechanical Engineering is a challenging, rewarding, and highly respected profession.
The goal of the Mechanical Engineering department is to prepare students for entry into the Mechanical Engineering profession, and is designed to meet a carefully planned set of educational objectives. We strive to prepare our students for good employability in the area of Mechanical Engineering.
Technical Association 'MACHINE' is established with its main objective to explore new areas of Research and latest technologies in industry. To fulfil this objective a series of technical workshops, seminars, technical fests and guest lectures are being conducted every year. The students are encouraged to present papers and participate in various technical events at national level.
